Cub Fly Day

First built in 1937, the Piper J-3 Cub earned fame as a trainer and sport plane. The little yellow tail dragger remains one of the most recognized designs in aviation. Members celebrate this aircraft by flying together on this day each year.

Family Fly Day

Our Family Fly Day welcomes all visitors to try their hand at RC flying. We provide instructors with trainer aircraft on a ‘buddy box’ radio to allow all ages to experience remote control flight. A Flight simulator is made available and R/C related raffle prizes are provided.

Festival of Flight

This event demonstrates to the public the many types of model aircraft our members enjoy. Aircraft models include all sizes of aircraft, both powered and gliders. The models are made of foam, balsa wood, and composite (among other things). We fly civilian and military planes as well as non-scale sport planes. Models are powered by electric motor, small gas and glow engines, and actual jet turbines.
