Windy City Warbirds and classics has filed a different flight plan for 2023 and will return in 2024 better than ever! Watch for many of our dedicated FVAC members and their giant scale aircraft at other warbird events throughout the 23′ flying season.

Fox Valley Aero Club remains a proud member of the Warbird & Classics Alliance. See you in the summer of 2024 and “Keep Them Flying”

Festival of Flight – September 10th

This event demonstrates to the public the many types of model aircraft our members enjoy. Aircraft models include all sizes of aircraft, both powered and gliders. The models are made of foam, balsa wood, and composite (among other things). We fly civilian and military planes as well as non-scale sport planes. Models are powered by electric motor, small gas and glow engines, and actual jet turbines.

Windy City Jets – September 8th & 9th

This is a Radio Controlled Aircraft event for turbine powered Aircraft. The planes you will see at our event are scale models of full-size aircraft.   They are replicas of military and classic aircraft from the Korean War, Vietnam War, Operation Desert Storm, up to current generation of modern jet aircraft.   The show will feature jet aircraft powered by small scale turbine engines flying aerobatic maneuvers.
